The Lusk letter reads as a mixture. The script varies, as does the apparent "accent" of the writer. The belief that it begins "Sor" is, I think, debatable. The writer added superfluous upstrokes to the final letter of some words. If that is taken into account the "Sor" becomes "Sir" but with the "i" undotted. There is also a suggestion of northern England with "tother piece". I don't think there's any real evidence that the writer was, or even purported to be , Irish.
