Especially given Pearly Poll used nearby Angel Alley, which is open from Whitechapel High Street.
The 'X' (crosslines) is just the map annotation to signify a covered passageway (brick arch). Have a look Miller's Court on the same map, the passageway into Miller's Court also has the 'X' to depict the presence of a covered passage.

I always find it astonishing that Lechmere would have killed someone is such a close proximity to a PC. I understand PC81 GER might not have always been on 'gate duty' and patrolling the whole yard so to speak but still seems risky to me.

Robert Paul the other finder of Polly Nichols worked as a Carman and parted company with Charles Cross on Hanbury Street at the junction of Corbet's Court as shown on your map. I was just wondering if anyone actually knew exactly where Robert Paul worked so it could be identified on your map.
Okay, I've added PC 81 GER (please check it's correct)

Re: Robert Paul - He is marked on the map in two places - 1) Parting company with Charles Cross on Handury Street and 2) As living at 30 Foster Street.
Again please check these placements to make sure they are correct.
    thanks.

Bit late but I have located and marked MARYANN STREET on the map now!
(Just use the search function at the top of the map page to hop to the location on the map.)

Not sure about Eagle's house location. He possibly took the same route as PC Smith, to get to Leman St police station.

What is the most likely address for Aaron Kozminski?
According to an article by Robert House, "It may, incidentally, be fair to guess that Aaron lived at the 3 Sion Square address in autumn of 1888, as this was his residence when he was admitted to Mile End Old Town Workhouse less than a year after the series of murders ended."

If it is the correct street, it seems there was a name change and the street no longer exists and was outside the extent of your excellent map.
