    I came across this earlier, and was slightly confused.

    As I understand it, and happy to be corrected ,Stoney Lane didnt exist during 1888.

    Sort of....
    I believe that it did exist, but only ran from Middlesex Street through the Artisan Dwellings as far as Backgravel Lane. It was extended Southwest as far as Houndsditch a few years later. Probably.

      The lack of Stoney Lane in 1888 is your only quibble with that article?
