  • addenda on Breezer's Hill street sign

From a thread I opened some days ago: Here are two "polaroids", of Breezer's Hill ("she was in a brothel near Ratcliffe Highway") out of Google street view. One is now, summer '12; the other I snapshot this winter: you see the difference: street signs are quite different. How old is the older one (without the E1) ?

Hi Gene. I think they started lettering on signs to denote postal areas in London in the 1850's. That makes that first sign an original that Mary Kelly, and who knows, her murderer would have been familiar with. I bet it ended up in a skip.
