    pub?

Hello Roy. Thanks for posting this.

Do you happen to know which pub was nearest to where she was found by PC Robinson?

    Cheers.

A The Three Nuns, B The Bull Inn and C the Essex

The policeman said he found her at #29 Aldgate High Street, which was a combined space with 28. So yes, the Bull Inn public house was right there.

          thanks

Hello Roy. Thank you very much. This helps me a good deal.

Hmm, looks like that, in her condition, the Three Nuns may have been too far.

          Cheers.

I believe the key question here could be where in Houndsditch did Eddowes and Kelly spend the afternoon (till 14.00 I think?).

Edowes is later found just around the corner from Houndsditch, and then on release from Bishopsgate nick she heads in that direction.

              story

Hello Jon. That's an excellent question. According to John's story, she left at that time to go to Bermondsey. She promised to be back within 2 hours.

Wonder how far it was to her daughter's place? Of course, the daughter had moved.

              Cheers.

                  time

Hello Jon. Just had a go at Google Maps. From Annie Phillips' previous address in Bermondsey to the lodging house was roughly two miles. That seems to indicate that Kate could have gone from Houndsditch to King street and back to Flower and Dean in just a bit over an hour. So two hours should be enough time.

Wish we could account for John when she failed to appear at 4.00. I believe that Kate was taken in custody around 8.30?

                  Cheers.

                    bull

Hello Neil. Thanks for that. I found several news items for "The Black Bull Inn" and "The Old Bull Inn." Nothing for this one.

                    Did they open in 1888?

                    Do we know the proprietor?

                    Cheers.

There was no number 29 listed that year. The adjacent addresses were Nos. 28, 30 and 31, a furniture warehouse, ironmonger and tobacco manufacturer respectively.

                          Regards,

                          Simon

Roy posted above that it was combined with #28.

                            Cheers.
