They've probably used a zoom lens when taking that photo. My guess is that it was taken from the roof of the easternmost end of Priory House, as that was built before the K&T warehouses nearest Mitre Street were demolished and the rest of Priory House was built. 
Clearly all of the K&T buildings have gone, as you can see the cellars in the bottom right hand corner of the photo, and if I recall correctly, didn't the main section of Priory House go up in 1979/1980, making it the last part of the old Victorian era square to be demolished?
