Murder Sites
This is a thread about the murder sites, and whether or not there may have been any deliberation or forethought in selection - whether there was any selection at all. To put it another way, did the killer have criteria in site selection; or was it, rather, a case of pure, unplanned opportunism? ‘Planning’ of course, can take a few minutes, less perhaps. It doesn’t have to be the end result of any protracted process.
If there were criteria, what were they? Is there enough commonality in that case to implicate the same mind at work? Or would those criteria be so generalised as to be meaningless? Does the killer (if one killer) have requirements personal to him, or is his choice of kill spot merely a consequence of expediency? Another way of asking the same question would be to what extent he ritualises the murder event - if he does.
Is location important, or not?
Any thoughts?
