Am i right in thinking that ?

the two images of Dorset Street and Duval Street on the Photo archive section are taken from opposite ends of the road ? i have been trying to identify markers within the street photos yet seem to find it unbelievably difficult to pin point anything which helps me to do so . Please help !

one is the 24 dorset street photo and the other is the 45 william stewart duval street photo just in case you havent a clue what i am on about !!

No, both photos are looking east along the street. The difference is that the north side of Duval Street had been demolished and replaced with a new building when the Stewart photo was taken.

mind you, having just looked at them again i think you are correct ! is the 1912 image showing the edge of the Horn of Plenty on the left corner of the shot ? if so then i think that gives me a better perspective

Yes, that looks like the Horn of Plenty on the left (you get a better view of it in the next photo) and, once again,the camera is pointed east looking along the length of Duval Street.
