    Volunteers

I am looking to expand my army of slaves starting with those with a membership to Genealogist.co.uk! This exciting opportunity would consist of collecting census data. All those wishing to volunteer, lie down face first on the ground with your eyes closed.....maybe just pm me. This is not a rush but will likely last several months. Additionally, anyone that still has the postal directory PDF's, I lost those also. Thanks kids! Dave

                  Proto in the house!!
Good to see you posting again Proto and congrats on your book!!

I know its mainly about the geography but could you give us a brief synopsis/description?

do you get into any kind of geo-profiling or suspectology?

It is basically a summary of all the appropriate goad sheets, and a comparison of the Old Nichol and MRH, and a complete list of all places specified in MRH on the Goad maps, a summary of the road network. Most of the Goad features ie pubs, domiciles, offices are tallied and compared for the MRH and the Old Nichol, and MRH is broken down into cells to convey diversity within the M5 footprint. It's 611 kindle pages long.Happy Reading, Dave

...and a summary of the victim specific area in the form of a 100m radius. This for Tabram and Mackenzie as well, these are also compared to the rest of MRH and though not directly the Old Nichol. The same metrics are used throughout as we move across the sample areas.

the state of goad overlap and the need for third party tracking software.https://goo.gl/photos/VWf64mQqa9UNwiCTA

This folder also contains a photo of all tracked features on to give perspective, bear in mind, this is WITHOUT overlap!

While there are not 5000 structures in MRH in 1899, there are 9000+ tracked features in MRH in 1899 owing to multi use and multi descripted buildings, and the road network as a tracked feature in it's own right. I promise you, it is worth $9.99 as it should be the only geographic reference needed for some years.

I absolutely do not get into suspectology beyond pointing out features that would have been apparent to the killer and potential interpretations. Thanks for asking Abby! Dave

                                Old Nichol and MRH comparison.

The Old Nichol was much smaller than Mr. Ripper's Hood. Technically, the ON sample was 2.44 times smaller in terms of number of structures. I collected all the ON data and then multiplied the totals by 2.44 to get the head to head data for constructing these charts. I suspect the driving force behind the differential treatment in the historiography of the two areas stems chiefly from the traditional housing metric, which is far and away the most divergent of the measured metrics.
