some instructions

for the kmz files to be used google earth (a free download) must be installed on your machine. Next the kmz file has to be downloaded to your computer. All you have to do then is click on the kmz file to launch google earth and install the file. Dave

I am trying to piece together the addy numbering conventions from the postal directory. Attached is a kmz with a couple of guessess, can someone verify these please. Dave

Would someone using ge test this kmz. There should be imbedded links to a casebook page in the pins, and the thrawl pd pin should have a picture of the entry from the 1888 postal directory. Please post if it works or not. Dave

Downloaded Google Earth successfully. Actually my wife did that. In exchange I get to mow the grass.

if you see a + next tro the folders on your left, those folders can be expanded. You can zooom in and out also. Check out a ge tutorial to see what is available. Congrats. Dave

is this a useful form of kmz?

The overlay must be turned on. open a folder, select a street,turn the pin on, and then click on the pin. A scan of the appropriate page of the 1888 postal directory should appear. Let me know if it works and if I sould continue. Dave
