D'Onston Stephenson - Fors & Againsts?

I have to say that I have never really looked into Robert D'Onston Stephenson much as a suspect but have heard the basic details. What I have started this thread for is for others to give the fors and againsts in the argument for D'Onston's candiacy as the Ripper and to see if we can come to any conclusions about him. Is the evidence presented by Melvin Harris strong or has any of it been disproved?
