  • Hi Rob, from what i've been reading about digital you are correct, it's much less expensive and easier to upload to computer than 35mm. I've been reading that it's possible to capature night shots (with digital,) without the aid of a tripod, is this correct? how good are the images though? It would save me lugging a tripod about hehe.

    all the best

Hi Observer, You'll still need a Tripod for night shots as you can tell from the long streaks of lights in some of my night ones. I've got quite a decent Digital and it allows me to adjust the ISO rating.

Hi John, yep, I've been to the LMA. I've still got a lot of stuff to go through so I'll be back there next week Friday.

Rob C., Those are amazing pictures. The Bloom Ct. bldgs are so reminiscent of Miller's Ct. style. I guess so many of them were, of course, but still it gives one pause.

Wilkes Street junction with Quaker Street, 1974. Rob posted a picture of this very scene a while back, but it was obviously taken in much happier times. It also appears in Fishman's 'Streets of East London'.

                          • Great stuff John, those Fournier and Brushfield Street photos are how I remember it from the 80s.

Here's some more I got hold of the other day:

Aldgate 1883, this has been see many times before, but I managed to get a decent copy of it.
