A question
I was re-reading my copy of "The London of Jack the Ripper-Then and Now" last night and I was drawn to the 1930's shot of the Princess Alice (page 175).
What I wanted to know, is when and why was the 3rd and 4th floor removed?
I am thinking WW2 damage, but wondered if that was the case, why wasn't the rest of the public house damaged?Regards Mike
