Not a soul. And we didn't see Watkins or Harvey either! ;-)

      • Andrew, I literally just missed you then. I would love to do a night wander but will have to save that for a while. I imagine the shots are very atmospheric.

Monty, there certainly is. That and the site of Dorset Street were the ones I wanted to make sure I photographed yesterday.

        Here's the others:

        The Ten Bells
Several looking down the route of Dorset Street and facing the site of Miller's Court

          • The old Spitalfields Market. Behind me is the Fruit Exchange.

            The old convent.

Apologies for the blurring pictures in some shots - my camera is beginning to give up the ghost through over-use.

            • With or without a new camera, Kate, you have a good eye and a good sense of composition. I hope you get back to London soon to take some more.

                  • Turkish Delight

Hi Kate, welcome to Casebook. Thanks for your photos. I particularly enjoyed the pic of your older son skipping while the little one dozes and hubby waits patiently for his Ripperologist wife to snap her photos.

Rob, the Turkish Baths building is SO cool! I love the colorful antique tilework and unique shape. Is it still a Turkish bath?

Have you ever gone inside and tried one, or is the atmosphere a bit too steamy for you?

                    Cheers,
                    Archaic

                      • Case solved!
                        It’s been in plain view.
Has anyone else noticed this before? Or is it just me that has just missed it?

                        • I can't believe that the Turkish baths are still in operation, but they made me think of "The Illustrious Client".

                                That's good!

The last time I saw a Turkish-like bath still in operation was in Budapest. Very interesting...

                                -Cameron ;-)
