Anyone else notice the Bloke behind the walls seems to have an oversize head in comparison to the others in front of the wall? And he is either standing on something or is alot taller too.Originally posted by Chris Scott View PostPoplar and Stepney Asylum'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride!'

Hmmm, I was hoping to post an image here, but I seem to be unable to post- I keep being told that my image exceeds my quota, even though it's well under the limit for filesize. Do I have to get special permissions for posting images? Sorry for the question, I'm pretty new here!

Hopefully this image will post- I've been having some trouble!
Anyhow, after Robert Clack's wonderfully clear image of The Brittania from post #2335, here's what I've found of Brittania as depicted by the Penny Illustrated from Nov 17, 1888- interesting to note the fact that it seems to display itself as 'Ringer's' rather than 'The Britannia.
