Two pictures of Cheshire Street I found recently, both from 1973:
Two photos I took in 2006 - the first is Buckle Street, the second is Drum Street, both near the junction of Leman St. and Whitechapel High Street. They have since been demolished.
(Drum Street was originally part of Commercial Road before the one way system was created. Gardiner's Department Store would have been on the left out of shot in days of yore).Last edited by John Bennett; 07-19-2009, 09:01 PM.

Excellent photos John. I remember Drum St well, occupying a rather choked position at Gardiners Corner.Didnt think it was long before it went. Im sure I have an old photo of Drum Yard which Ill try and dig out;presumably it was off Drum St?
