    PC Joseph William Drage 282H

Having just transcribed a rather lenghty Hull newspaper report on the inquest of Elizabeth Stride, I came across a short note about Police Constable Drage, and him witnessing the discovery of a 12 inch knife.

The knife was found on the doorstep of 253 Whitechapel-road, by an 18 year old lad by the name of Thomas Coran (although A-Z has it has Coram)

As I transcribe I try to look closer at the individuals involved, and during a browse of the "A to Z" by Begg, Fido and Skinner, I noticed that it mentioned that Drage had been cautioned 16 days after this, but does anyone know why?
    Regards Mike

Did we ever discover what Drage was cautioned about?
