The Metropolitan Police Force of London has just stated that the force is no place for blacks or Asians because of the institutionalised racism within the force.
    Nuf said.

It was the Metropolitan Black Police Association that said that!

...on which basis, I presume that we can expect to hear similar statements from the Met's Jewish Police Association soon, albeit worded even more strongly. On the other hand, perhaps I worry too much.

As I said, it was the Metropolitan Police Force who said that the police force was institutionally racist in its nature and purpose.
I personally do not recognise the difference between a black, Asian or white officer of the Metropolitan Police Force of London, and accept them as officers and guardians of the law in the Metropolitan region of London.

                Of course it wasn't.

It was the The Metropolitan Black Police Association, which is a staff association for police officers from ethnic minorities:

Indeed, Robert. Thanks. I now have this image of the police spying on the poor sod through a hole in the wall of a public lavatory to confirm the diagnosis.

Caz, they even met the water-shy Aaron halfway by putting up a notice reading, "Now wash your hand."

It's when you see a sign in the gents saying "Now wash your hands and gargle" that you have to start worrying.

Blimey, the number has risen from one to two. Pretty soon we'll be dealing with the Hole in the Wall Gang.

I'm absolutely certain that this perverted and converted view was shared by the London police force of the age.
This is actually quite an interesting description. the quotation above has somehow got mutilated.

It comes from the police notebooks covering Bow and Bromley, and is catalogued as "Walk with Inspector Carter ... 1 June [1897]".

The paragraphs marked "Prostitution" and "Ponces" run as follows:

The Prostitutes living in Spring & Summer Street & the neighbourhood ply for hire in the Old Ford Road and the Roman Road. These women satisfy the local demand, sailors dont come so far north. They generally take off their victims westwards to the Brothels in Brantridge Street (dark blue in our map)

Of all forms of prostitute the Polish Jewess is the worst. "They wont let you alone but follow you up & down the street & even catch hold of you". There are generally Bullies known to the Police as "Ponces" who live on their earnings. These men are more often foreigners than Englishmen and often themselves Polish Jews. "Its a curious thing about women like them the more these men knock them about the more they like them". In the Summer these men attend the races as betting men & in the Winter live on the women.

Well one things for sure this Inspector Carter geezer certainly knows a lot about it! There were quite a few investigations into sleaze too and quite a few such bad eggs got the sack.

I don't understand this comment. Are you saying Inspector Carter was guilty of corruption? How is that, considering you don't appear to have heard of him before?
