Abberline's house in Bournemouth(recent photos)

Photo's I took yesterday of Fredrick Abberline's house in Bournemouth, where he lived during the 1920's.

A blue plaque displayed on the house was unveiled on 29th September 2001, all the info here:

I have not seen a recent photo, so I thought it may have been of interest. He would have been very busy at this time all those years ago.

It is in need of a bit of attention. It's sad that so many of these larger Victorian houses are turned into flats and are subsequently neglected.

Thanks for posting this. I've often thought about Abberline tending his roses at his home in his retirement.

Hi Scott,

Probably was in the front garden for show, there's not much room at the back. His garden now just parking for the flats now sadly.

I think most houses would have had a front garden for proud display back then, again now all dug up for parking cars.
