    Has anyone ever looked up Abberline's birth, marriage or death certificates?

    I have found copies of his marriage certs and will post these soon.

                      Some of those posts are right some wrong.

                      Minor was actually between 14 and 21, not 14 and 18. 21 was full age but persons under 21 but over 14 could marry with parental consent, my own Great Grandmother was born in 1888 and married in 1902. My GG Grandmother, on another side was listed as a minor in 1846 about 4 weeks before her 21st birthday.

                        That is correct, Gut, as Martha Mackness was 20 at the time of her marriage to Abberline in 1868.
