Edward Abberline Jnr. was invalided out of the Royal Navy on 8th September 1904, aged 28. His service conduct varied between Fair and Very Good, but whilst on HMS Barham he spent two periods (10 days and 14 days) in the cells for unspecified reasons.
On his service record are two notations.
1. 1323/27. Warned not to make appeals for assistance to Naval Officers.
2. 1215/32. Further warned.*
Edward Abberline Jnr. (aged 35) married Lily Beard in 1911. They had one child, a son also named Edward, born September 22nd 1918.

I am currently pursuing an Edward Abberline who won a medal during WW1. He was an Acting Corporal—No. 33801—with the Royal Army Medical Corps. It couldn't have been Edward Senior, as he would have been 75 at the outbreak of WW1. Edward Junior would have been 39, so it could be him, although we don't know the extent of his invalidity from the Navy.
