    Mary Ann Cotton

Anyone know anything about her husband "Cotton",

Only reason I ask is I have relatives Cotton, can't find a connection so far, but also can't find much about her hubby.

I suspect there was no relationship as mine were Clergy and Solicitors and Meducal men.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

Frederick was a coal hewer at a mine near West Walbottle in Northumberland, a widower with two children when he met the deadly Mary Ann. I presume you've checked his genealogical records. I can't see him as being related to professional people I have to say, though you never know.

From Voltaire writing in Diderot's Encyclopédie:
"One demands of modern historians more details, better ascertained facts, precise dates, , more attention to customs, laws, commerce, agriculture, population."

The Cotton family Im interested in married into the Bayes family.

Thomas Bayes came up with the Bayes Theory.

                            Basically a Statistical analysis.
