  • How Would JTR Operate Today?

As the title, how would you expect JTR to serially kill were he born in, say, 1995? He'd be 30 this year.

    Would he use a knife?

    Would he use public transport?

Would he write letters (if you believe he did)?

    Would he still evade capture?

    etc.
O have you seen the devle
    with his mikerscope and scalpul
    a lookin at a Kidney
    With a slide cocked up.

    Hi Tani

He would still use a knife. He might use public transport. He might write letters. He would not evade capture.

    Cheers John

      Jack the Ripper 1888

Victimology: Primarily desperate, middle-aged sex workers
M.O. Blitz attack, choking, throat slash - after victims take him to a secluded spot for the purpose of sex for money
Signature: Abdominal mutilations and organ removal, sex organs targeted, victim posing
Location of Crime: Opportunistic and somewhat reliant on the victim to identify a suitable spot; primarily occurred outside both in secluded and rather risky high-traffic areas; but he will also kill indoors given the opportunity
Transportation: by foot; public transport cannot be ruled out, but there was no need to do so if he was a local.
Communication with Police/Press: Not known but no compelling evidence that he wrote these correspondences.
Evade capture: Well, he was never held accountable for his crimes even if he was removed to an asylum.

      Jack the Ripper 2025

Victimology: the victims would probably be younger; otherwise similar victimology
M.O. the biggest difference would be how he found his victims; probably using online services
Signature: He's Jack the Ripper. This wouldn't change.
Location of Crime: Both outside and inside, but the murders would be more likely to occur indoors given more opportunities for this in 2025 than in 1888 East End.
Transportation: Given that he isn't hiding the bodies, Jack would most likely have to travel across a much wider distance to avoid detection.
Communication with Police/Press: I don't know because I don't know if the original Jack did. I lean that he did not.
Evade capture: He would be less likely to evade capture, but assuming he traveled and targeted strangers in a large geographic area, he still would have a decent chance of getting away with many murders.

Well said Barnaby; an excellent summation. GMTA.

        Regards, Gazza.
Why a four-year-old child could understand this report! Run out and find me a four-year-old child, I can't make head or tail of it.
