I agree that there is no reason to dismiss his professional opinion but I also see no reason to take it as the Word of God that can't be questioned given all of the unknowns that I listed in post no. 127.

Nor do I; however, I will take street smarts and experience on a subject any day over a more academic view. I had a boss who had all these certifications and degrees, but because it was all academic, he knew nothing whatsoever about the criminal mind. He never knew or talked to or put his hands on a criminal until he was appointed. Naturally, he was a disaster.

But I digress... Everyone is fallible, and the other opinions are certainly valid. But when the rubber meets the road, I'm going with experience every time.
