to my mind the indentations of the third and fifth line are not original.
He has indents and centering on the first and third line.
If it can’t be explained away, and is then the reliable version, it can’t help but make a difference, especially with “nothing” centred in the bottom.
I take it the quotes are the one convention he’s observing here.... (as per last post image)

It also takes me to a new set of possible indents that need investigation as possible clues.
No convention of average people I know explains those indents.
and what is this all getting at? I mean what significance is it to anything how the indents went?

Why would anyone attack Jews and/or wreck the building for graffiti that was making a jab at them in the first place?
I also think that its possible the author was saying that the Berner Street Jews were trying to evade blame for what happened there on that same night, which would then mean he is suggesting that it was someone there who probably killed the woman. If he is also the man that leaves the apron section, for me, its a confirmation on which murder(s) he, the Mitre square killer, committed that night. Hes saying it was probably the Jews there on site. He had over an hour to learn of this murder and come back out and place the apron and/or section. Gets even more interesting if the Mitre Square murderer isn't Jack either.

So ..... Old Jewry ...... will not be blamed ..... for Catherine Eddowes
Seems logical from Jack's point of view.

This doesn't appear to help my case at first glance but it's the premise I will work on.
