    • Hi Sam. Did you admire his 'spunk' the many times he's stalked and attacked myself, Stewart, RJ Palmer, and many others on these boards? Or do you only admire his 'spunk' when he props up a known hoax as genuine?

      Yours truly,

      Tom Wescott

      • And there was me thinking, Sam, that you admired my neck.

          Disparate, certainly.

Desperate? I don't think AP would consider himself 'desperate'.

          • Tom,

There may have been a heaping dose of Celtic irony in Sam's comment, but that's for him to say. In any case, you have more than held your own in any lupine attacks.

Some people talk too much. Often when they have nothing to say.

                  • AP,

I feel that 10% of your posts are legitimate and the other 90% are to screw with the people on the boards you despise for being 'relevant'. Am I close? Or is it 5% and 95%? In any case, I'd like to see you devote more time to fleshing out your Cutbush theory, which I consider a viable one. You create new threads for every new idea you get and they're impossible to keep up with. Many have been lost to cyberspace. An updated volume from you would be huge. If it seems too big an undertaking, get a co-author. But dammit, man, join in the march or get out of the road.

                    Yours truly,

                    Tom Wescott

                    • Tom, I don't do books anymore.
I like the idea of my posts going into cyberspace.
I don't have personal feelings of any nature or kind when posting on this message board.
I do not have a Cutbush theory.

You think he was the Ripper, do you not? That's what we call a theory around here. What do you call it?

                        • I call it, Tom, an inescapable conclusion of facts, with not a jot of theory behind it.
At present I explore the relationship between Dr Parker, the preacher, and young Thomas... and I already find that they both shared an abiding interest in hand writing, in that Thomas enjoyed using a peculiar short hand version of writing, and that Dr Parker was a council member of the International Short Hand Society.
                          There's another one for cyberspace.
                          Oh, how they laugh.

                              • Hi, Mac.

Yes, another year for the poor September 17th letter...

I guess it wouldn't be appropriate to wish it "many happy returns of the day", but maybe this will be the year that some of the mystery is cleared up.

I look forward to that day, and I know it will be a big relief for you after 21 years!

                                Best regards, Archaic
