yet again
Hello Debs.
"From recent research I believe our LG did eventually marry in 1907 while on a short break from prison, to Elizabeth Clark, only to be sent down again the year after!"
Some people never learn.
Cheers.

Legend has it 'our' LG was in prison in 81 as Christian Nelson and wasn't released until 1884.
The Charles Le Grand who married Elizabeth Skinner was the son of Charles and Jane Le Grand and grew up to be a respectable law abiding citizen with a long and happy marriage and went on to become a bank managing clerk by 1901-whereas, our Charles le Grand was in Parkhurst for managing a bank defrauding by 1901!

Skinner
Hello Colin. Thanks. As you know, Skinner is not an uncommon Brit name.
Cheers.

hoax
Hello Velma. Thanks. Well, there's motive. Get Lusk excited enough to fear for his life and leave the Mile End Vigilance Committee.
If it were HER kidney, it would likely have been a bit more gamey after that lapse in time. Of course, it could yet prove to be a student hoax.
Cheers.

Isn't suspense Grand?
Seriously, when Tom returns he can provide the details. Le Grand may well be the concerned party here. And just to scare Lusk. Makes sense.
Cheers.

I wonder if he's the Charles Le Grand who married Elizabeth Skinner in Peckham on 19th April 1881 - and if Elizabeth has any connection with Keith?

Alas where's Tom when you need him?
All the best

process of elimination
Hello Colin. Thanks.
Don't think it was a medic; don't think it was Jack.
Would a Dane do? Someone who knew Lusk well?
Cheers.

Access To Kidneys

What if it were an Englishman putting on an Irish accent?

It would have to be an Englishman pretending to be Irish and having access to human kidneys. Medical professional or the (to you non-existent) Ripper. I don't think there can be many other possibilities. A medic would, if caught, be committing career suicide. The Ripper, on the other hand, might take the opposite view - if he existed!

motive
Hello Stacy. Thanks. Yes, quite possible. But I doubt that was the main motive
Behind the letter.
Cheers.

So it is very possible, then, that this person was trying to throw suspicion onto the Irish, in the same way that suspicion could have been thrown onto the Jewish community in some other ways.
In response to Chris George, does Patricia think that Sickert could have replicated accents? If the 'implicating the Irish' idea is possible, would Sickert have had a reason for that?
