    Used Sailors Garb Shops

    Hi All,
Does anyone remember what those shops were called?
The saiors once in port would sell their uniforms to these shops.
They had a name but I've lost that detail. Thanks in advance.

        Hi Herlock, Tani,

No. In the 1880s in Whitechapel, there were these shops where sailors traded in their gear for money once in port. And then those shops sold to new sailors weighing out or to the public. I read it somewhere but can't remember where now.

Marine stores is the term used at the time.
