Happy Days Fish and Chip Restaurant on Goulston Street will be shortly undergoing a refit. The premises will be redecorated to reflect its historic significance, with period pictures and decorations.
Owner Michael Papastavrou is hosting a special re-launch on the evening of 30th September 2014, to start at 5.30 pm, with refreshments and an unique unveiling.
The date is obviously of prime significance for this address, it being the anniversary of the ‘Double Event’ when a piece of Catherine Eddowes’ apron as found in what is now the doorway to the restaurant, underneath some graffiti that read ‘The Juwes are the men that will not be blamed for nothing.’
All those involved in the ‘Ripper’ industry and close associates are cordially invited to what will undoubtedly be a memorable occasion.
