Naturally, the Travelodge "Tower Bridge" is actually just across from the western end of Chamber Street, so it's not really that close to Tower Bridge. The same goes for the "Aldgate East" one, also on Chamber Street, and not really near Aldgate, and the "Liverpool Street" one which I reckon is nearer Aldgate....
All the best

Kate,
I reckon people will certainly be milling about on the Sunday. I'm not planning on leaving London until late afternoon, so I'll certainly be around. I imagine it'll be similar to what happened on the recent London Job, in that the socialising and east end sightseeing carried on for an extra day!

Suzi,
so sorry to bother you with this, but could you give me the internet link (or phone number) for Liverpool St 24-26th? I might decide to pop in for saturday and sunday, leaving on sunday evening. (Depends on if I find a very early ticket for the Eurostar from Paris or a very early easyjet flight on Saturday morning.)
Oh, and I LOVE cats! It's so cool that you're bringing yours along! Does she travel well?!Best regards,
Maria

Hello Phil (if I may),
I'm totally sure I'll enjoy Diddles.
I need to ask everybody, will most people among you stay at the Travellodge “Liverpool Street“ or at the Travellodge “Aldgate East"? Is “Liverpool Street“ really as bad as the internet reviews say (room doors not locking, shower not working, construction going on under the windows from 7.30 a.m.)? And for the “Aldgate East" there aren't any pictures online. (Bad sign?)
I might book at the Premier Inn “Tower Hill“ on Prescott Street, which looks nice for just under £100 a night (which is not cheap, but for just one night it won't break me), just five small blocks from the Pub. Or I'll book at the “Aldgate East", if someone could assure me that the room doors lock and the windows can be opened! (Shades of Mary Kelly, anyone?!)
Thank you so much, andBest regards,
Maria
