    On tap Grave...on tap.

Eduardo bought me a pint and it went down a treat.

Infact a few bought me one. Many thanks to Messers Hills, Ratty, McLaughlin, Mark Ripper, Thomas the Swede, Paul and everyone who bought me a drink.

Next time the rounds on me.

Even Rob Clack got me a drink...though I put that down to the award euphoria.

Thanks Lindsey, and you were in good voice last Saturday.

So didn't any of you guys play practical jokes on each other?

                    No naughty pre-Halloween Tricks??

Me & a friend had a joke that if we attended we would hide under a table late one night & do some loud table-rapping just to see which eminent Ripperologist screamed first...

probably the D'Onstonites. (Or is that "D'Onstonians'?)

                    Cheers, Archaic

We actually had an interesting talk (from Richard Jones) about table-rapping and other "psychic" attempts to track the Ripper over the years. As to trying out some table-rapping at the Conference - alas! - we wouldn't have been able to hear it over the noise of Rob Hills' air-trombone
                      Kind regards, Sam Flynn

Oh, drat, I wish I had heard Richard's talk! That would have been cool.

Any chance it was recorded for the benefit of us poor stayathomeniks?

                        Thanks, Sam.

Well, Archy, Jeff "Pirate Jack" Leahy was recording a DVD of the whole event, guest speakers and all. Whether/when it'll go on "general release" I can't say, but Jeff will no doubt let us know in due course.
                          Kind regards, Sam Flynn

I heard from Jeff this evening. I'm sure that anyone who wants a copy will be able to buy one.

My two favourite phrases of the weekend :

                            'MR BARRACLOUGH'S TABLE' (Richard Jones)

                            'THE MAD SNOB' (Paul Begg)

                            PHILIP
Tour guides do it loudly in front of a crowd.

A favourite moment for me was when Loretta was building up to her wonderful 'Clacky' announcement and she asked everyone with facial hair to sit down. Liza sat down as quick as a flash and everybody roared.

Whatever people say about Liza, the girl's got a lot of spunk.

                              Love,

                              Caz
