There is a UK Conference page set up on Facebook asking for suggestions, and I put forth Hull.

It was Robert D'Onston Stephenson's birthplace,

It was where Frederick Bailey Deeming was imprisoned, and he also stayed at Royal Station Hotel,

Prince Eddy was a regular at Royal Station Hotel, and Tranby Croft,

Prince Albert was a regular at Royal Station Hotel and Tranby Croft,

Queen Victoria stayed at the Royal Station Hotel,

Thomas Sadler worked on Hull Ferries for a short while,

The Carroll family (My light hearted friends) had family in the city and several were married at the church on Worship Street,

Several of Sickerts art works are on display here,

It was home to the Wilberforce family, which had links to the Stephenson's and Stephens families,

And I know of a Proffessor at Hull Uni, who is looking into a Ripper victim and her links to the city!

Or it could be held in London.

Mike, wherever the event is held, if you stay at the conference hotel, it will be bombed. Or engulfed in a fire. Or flooded.

There are thousands of places where it could be held, i.e. all the places where Mike Covell will NOT be on that particular weekend.

I popped into Paul's yesterday and the subject came up. Apparently the location will be announced in next Ripperologist Magazine.

Perhaps you could send Diddles round to extract confession from Adam?

I'd like to put the conference up live on web cam! Saves filming and editing.

And my Suggestion is the 'HOP FARM' between here and Hunton
