  • Assassin's Creed Syndicate Ripper DLC [NO SPOILERS]

Hey y'all. I'm new to the forums and I've been playing through the Assassin's Creed series on PS3/PS4. I'm playing Brotherhood right now, but I originally started this series because of the DLC of Jack the Ripper that will be available when I finally reach Syndicate. WITHOUT SPOILERS, can anyone tell me if it is worth the effort I've put into playing through the entire series?

Wait, let me get this straight. So you started playing a nine game series because of a single DLC, are three games deep in and now asking if you should play the others? Just seems an odd question being that far in. I assume you're enjoying them and its worth the effort as long as you're digging.
Honestly, the meta story is a complete mess, 3 is boring, Black Flag takes the only good part of 3 and builds an even more tedious experience out of it, Unity is garbage stuffed with micro transaction bs and Syndicate is meh at best but better than all the other games after Revelations.
So... Maybe. Question- if you have avoided the series this long, why didn't you just get Syndicate and go backward if you dug it to begin with?
I’m often irrelevant. It confuses people.

Oh, I love the series. I'm a history nerd, so this is awesome to me. I have OCD and it irks my brain to not go in order, but it would be worth the effort anyway just for the story, so I'm pretty much just asking if the DLC is decent. I want gore. lol

You're going to be disappointed if that's what you're looking for. The DLC is ok. Has some nice approaches, falls short in execution. It's same as the rest of the series in terms of gore.

Awww. Well, I guess it was kind of dumb to expect Resident Evil gore in a non-horror series. Thanks, though!

I had a brief dabble into it, I wasn't overly impressed. It's a shame there isn't a game soley based on the Whitechapel Murders. There's a Sherlock Holmes one on the 360 which isn't bad, I suppose. The conclusion of the case is rather good.
