A quick couple of Questions

Hi all,

Just a couple of questions to anyone in the know.

1. Does anyone off the top of their heads know the following?

1. Roughly, what was the percentage of immigrants compared to British born living in the East end at the time of JTR ?

2. Bearing in mind that the proberble victims all had British names and British backgrounds ( although Stride had Swedish links ) was prostitution a very British occupation on the streets at that time.

What I read so far, is that Spitalfield had a lot of Irish and Old Nichol was mostly cockney. But the jewish population of Whitechapel was about 45%.

There was a highly organized section of Jewish prostitution in the East End.
