A little help with newspapers of the era

    Hello,

For fiction purpose, I'm looking for a daily newspaper in London, available in the East End, that was already established in 1888 (I think the Star was born during the ripper murders, no?), and this newspaper has a classified/ personal ads section.

Any help, or pointing in the right direction would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

All London newspapers were available in the East End.

Here is a list containing East London newspapers..
The 'day' written against the name of the paper is the frequency, as you can see only the Islington Gazette was 'daily'.

I think this next list is the one you need.

    Regards, Jon S.

      wow. Thanks a lot.

Can I assume most of them had a "classified ads" section?

If anyone is interested, I found this "History of the Star" webpage. It was founded in January 1888.
