    Advice on organising research

Even though I am new to studying the Whitechapel murders, I have already generated a good amount of print-outs from various websites and so on. I was just wondering if any more experienced researchers have any advice on how best to organise / categorise hard copy material?
    Thanks,
    Gareth.

    organisation

Hello Gareth. One simple way might be to lay out the categories, roughly according to the categories on this page--victims, suspects, etc.

    Cheers.

      .

Hi, I don't research Ripper stuff, but I have done other research and an Excel spreadsheet is an invaluable tool. You can list articles, authors, victims, a brief article synopsis, where you filed the article, whatever works best for you. Then when you need something, you just hit "find", type in a keyword, BAM.
