    Books on procedure

Anyone know of books about the procedure of Victorian police as regards to how they dealt with murder? Thanks,

Hi uphillcastle and welcome to the boards

I'm not personally aware of a definitive police procedural, but the following (admittedly they are mostly more historical than procedural) may just help a little vis a vis the police:-

    "I Spy Blue" Donald Rumbelow
"The Great British Bobby" Clive Emsley
    "Fingerprints" Colin Beavan
"Jack the Ripper - Scotland Yard Investigates" Stewart Evans and Donald Rumbelow

Maybe the ex-coppers among us (eg Stewart, Trevor, Colin) know more and could guide you better?

    All the best

    Dave

I'm sure it would be covered in this?
