    The issue raised by Michael Richards, and to which I responded, is that Mortimer did not see Schwartz at about 12.45 a.m.

    My response to that, that no-one saw Mortimer (at about 12.45 a.m.), still stands.

      For both Schwartz and Mortimer, we're talking about 12:45, an approximation. Maybe Schwartz passed through just before 12:45 and Mortimer came to her door just after 12:45, and that's why she didn't see him.
