ID:	797199 I've been rewatching a documentary on Netflix on the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, and in it they show a photo of his various weapons.

After listening to Trevor Mariott's audiobook which covers the autopsies, and that it could be a 6 to 8 inch knife with a point which inflicted the wounds in 1888, and that some of the neck wounds were jagged, this weapon of Sutcliffe's reallt stuck out to me in particular.

Can anyone tell me what kind of knife this is (circled by myself in red)? If you can zoom in you'll see it has jagged teeth and comes to a point.

Could Peter's knife align with Jack's?
    Curious, your thoughts...

    Hi Barbara!

I'm on my phone so can't see the knife in precise detail.

From what I can make out, it appears to have a serrated edge.

Would knives with serrated blades have been available during the LVP?

I don't honestly know, but suspect they probably came a bit later.

Am happy to be corrected though....

      Hi Ms. Diddles!

Yes, so sorry about the crappy pic. I took it off the TV so not clear. That knife is not what I'd call serated. It actually has a more tooth edge. You maybe right though as per too modern. It just caught my eye as the perfect description for Jacks knife. Somehow, I never bought into that thin bladded one.
