  • Outstanding questions - contributions wanted please

To form the basis of a project I am doing I have started to list what I consider to be THE outstanding questions relating to the Whitechapel case
This list is of course by no means exhaustive nor is it meant to be and I would value all and any questions you consider central to the case....
    Many thanks
    Chris

        one more

        Hello Chris. Great list.

        One more might be this:

"Was 'Leather Apron' inspired by a real person/s or just a mass delusion?"

        Cheers.

            Did she know him?
Did she lead him to her house, or did he knock on her door or sneak in?
What did he do with the organs he took away?

That's what so fascinating about this case- not only the main mystery of who done it but all the sub mysteries.

              Hi All,

I feel a veritable midsummer nights dream upon me! Wow.A whole bundle of mysteries...horrible little secrets, nightmare scenarios, and perhaps jaw-dropping revelations. Who knows?

The more questions you see, the more we realize how little we know.
Though some will try to contest that reality.

When were Kelly and Chapman killed? Estimates vary by HOURS there.

When was Stride killed? We can narrow it down to 15 minute period, but when exactly during those 15 minutes she was killed has substantial consequences for the case.

Did Sarah Lewis see George Hutchinson on Dorset Street?
Did this man graduate to murder by way of street assaults?
If so, might his description be contained within newspaper accounts or police records?
Did any intended victim survive the initial assault and live to tell the tale?

Was the body pulled out of the Thames really Druitt's?

Rosey! How the devil are you? Or rather, how are you, you old devil?

(That wasn't my contribution to the outstanding questions by the way. )

Apologies if I'm repeating any previously suggested, but how about:

Who tried to set James Maybrick up as JtR and what gave them the idea?
When precisely was the GSG written and the apron dropped?
Why did Stride head for the club that night?
What were the true circumstances of the attack on Emma Smith?
What significance, if any, lay behind attacks at weekends, high days and Bank Holidays?
Were any of the murders domestic in nature?

                        Love,

                            Hi All,

Why in his official report did Inspector Abberline fudge the facts surrounding the murder of Annie Chapman?

                            Regards,

                            Simon

How did he kill these women without a sound?
                              Why didn't these women fight?
