I've read lots of speculation about why the Ripper took away certain parts of his victims bodies, but not about the eventual fate of these grim objects.
Did he destroy them soon afterwards ?
If he was a butcher that conjures up some rather disgusting scenarios.
Did he eat them all, were they "very nise" ?
If he kept them as trophies then there's a good chance his relatives found them after his death. Does this explain why MJ Druitt's family "believed him to be the murderer."
Maybe they were in a house where such things might be expected to be discovered, the house of a Doctor perhaps, or at least an Indian Herb Doctor.
Most intriguingly they may still be locked in an old forgotten trunk somewhere, although they may not be in very good nick.
Patricia Cornwell claimed the Lusk kidney was kept at London Hospital until the 1950s before being destroyed due to deterioration.
Ah well, maybe if such a trunk is discovered it will also contain a rusty old knife, a couple of brass rings and a diary !
The killer took a great risk in carrying away such incriminating items (which certainly would have been more difficult to hide than a knife) so possessing them must have been very important to him.
