New Ripperology is a myth, created by those who wish to self promote.

Id like to ask what discoveries have been made by these 'New Ripperologists'.

      Hi Ally,

Thanks for saving me the bother.

I have been under the impression lately that "New Ripperology" is a euphemism for "rip it up and start again". It's one thing to speculate based on primary source information, but it's quite another to speculate based on chucking out all that information as flawed, deliberately falsified or otherwise unreliable.

      Love,

      Caz

"I certainly don't think Ripperology is in a bad state. It's just doing what it always does; changes, develops and moves on."

Time to close the thread down - this encapsulates all that needs to be said. Bravo, John!
