    If the Ripper didn't kill Stride, but was the killer of the other canonical victims, do you think he would have wanted to set the record straight and disown that victim, or be happy to let the Double Event press frenzy add to his sinister reputation?

    I don't think the Ripper cared about his sinister reputation. His killings were fueled by psychotic rage.

        No. I don't think the Ripper would have disowned Stride if someone else murdered her. It would have added to the mystery and confusion.
