A nice collection of photographs about hopping in Kent. A bit after the Ripper's time, but I doubt that things had changed that much, especially in the older photos. Some of these people may have picked hops alongside Annie Chapman or Kate Eddowes.

Wonderful photographs, Ginger, and you're right about things probably not changing since Jack's time. Things probably remained pretty much the same for decades after these pics were taken, come to that.
BTW, apropos of "Jack", I noticed loads of cloth caps with peaks - even the kids were wearing them!Kind regards, Sam Flynn
