Hi all, just found another newspaper article about a religious sect before the agreed ripper murders. They seem to be into self mutilation but who knows, maybe they broadened their horizons.

Also, (Incase you were wondering) Although I find the case interesting I try not to get ancored to one opinion. I am posting these articles on the basis that someone may find them interesting or I may hit on a line that someone is researching, if this is not the case and I am way off the mark or its not the done thing then please let me know.

Yes, the Skoptsy sect were particularly interested in castration.

The "suspect" Nicolai Vassiliev, was supposed to be a member of this group. By mid-November, Rachkovski had tweaked him to become an "Anarchist."
