    Hello Richard

The book purports to the autobiography of James Carnac, who claims to have committed the Whitechapel murders, but might be more likely to be an example of early Ripper fiction, in the view of Paul Begg.

As Paul wrote in the editorial in Ripperologist 123, you can expect some contributions on the Carnac book upcoming in the Rip, specifically an investigative article by John Bennett and a review of the book by Martin Fido.

    Best regards

    Chris

How many threads currently exist on this fictional suspect/book? I imagine there'll be another 20 created by the time it's actually in our hands.

I don't know, Kozminski definitely has a leg up on Carnac.

          Carnac must have complete silence
This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

            A Novel

It's a novel, enjoy it for what it is. It should be most interesting and well worth acquiring. The probable date of its writing and the content as regards the factual murders are the most interesting aspects.
