      music company

Hello (again) Simon. That musical company is ringing a bell. Was that the one for whom Llewelyn Winter (AKA Mr. Dawson) worked?

      Cheers.

        Hi Lynn,

I wanted to use the word s****** regarding my schoolboy QC **** joke, but got heavily asterisked for my pains.

Snicker, I believe, is a particularly revolting chocolate bar and no good substitute for s******, so for a brief moment I considered using "chortle" before finally losing the will to live.

        Yours s******ingly,

        Simon

            Hi Lynn,

            Thank you.

            Happy Happy Joy Joy.

May the paragons of political correctness be forever haunted by the living dead of S****horpe [a town in North Lincolnshire, UK].

                Hello Simon. Thanks again.

Still, that music company sounds vaguely familiar.

                Cheers.

I wonder if Gladys Evelyn ever knew she made it into "A New English Dictionary on Historical Principles", by Sir James A. H. Murray, 1908—

The author's surname has a certain piquancy.

Snippet is from "The Warren Ledger" October 1, 1886.

                                Cheers.
