    Bonfire Night 1888

    Does anyone know what celebrations were held on November 5th 1888 in the Whithchapel and Spitlefields area of east London?

    Did Mary Jane Kelly attend any such festivities?

              Hi Ruby - I am just curious to know that's all. Afterall, Bonfire Night is an autumn ritual so fits in well with the so called Autumn of Terror.

                  Not sure about her attending any bonfires, but she apparently wanted to see the Lord Mayor's Show.....(bonfires in the East End, btw? Wouldn't that have been a bit....dangerous?)
