  • Which Bromley.

Sorry if this is somewhere obvious but I haven't found it.
I was wondering which 'Bromley' Stride's husband died in. Bromley by Bow or Bromley, Kent??
If it is the latter does anyone know if the building survives. Going to see my dear old Nannie and wondered if it was worth taking a look.

      Hey Kate,

John Stride died in the Poplar and Stepney sick asylum, Bromley by Bow.

      Not Bromley in Kent.

      Cheers

      Monty

PS Apologies Scott, missed your post.

You know Kat, on second thought you better run your question by Colin Roberts (Septic Blue). He's got this thing about Stepney place-names.

                Tom made a funny Kate.

Gavin Bromley is an excellent writer on the subject of Jack and has slipped off the radar as of late.

                Go check his dissertations here.
