    Welcome to the forums, Wolfie!
Good to see a fellow Aussie here. You'll probably be able to find a few more on the "Aussie Rules Football" thread as well.

    Cheers,
    Adam.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I am one of those rare Australian not so keen on sport.

But don't hold that against me.

Have only just discovered this forum by accident when googling for family research.

      Very interesting it is too.

Do you have a favourite Ripper suspect ?

          Hey Wolfie,

Don't feel bad about not being so keen on sports, I just figured that might be a good starting point for seeing some fellow Aussie Ripperologists on there.

Favourite suspect? Severin Klosowski (George Chapman). What about you?

          Cheers,
          Adam.

Thank you both for making me feel welcome!

I am yet to form an opinion either way re my preferred Ripper suspect, keeping an open mind at this stage.

                    Hi Lord Lucan,

I hail from Central Goldfields Victoria.

Treechanger from Melbourne and loving it.

Still trying to find a favourite suspect, so many to choose from...

I clearly have a lot of catching up to do.

What book's would you recommend for a first timer?

Sugden's (The Complete History of Jack the Ripper ) for sure.
Paul Begg's JTR The Facts is one I continually delve into.
                      Must haves are:
The London of Jack the Ripper: Then and Now - Philip Hutchinson and Robert Clack.
The Complete Jack the Ripper by Donald Rumbelow.
The Ultimate Jack the Ripper Sourcebook: An Illustrated Encyclopedia.
and I've also enjoyed: Jack the Ripper: The Casebook by Richard Jones as well as his Uncovering Jack the Ripper's London.

                            Hi Belinda,

Have sorted out what I wanted to know thanks to offers of help from a researcher in the UK.

btw.. love your website and clothes... sadly too young for me to wear, but my fur baby would look very cute.

                            regards

Not an Aussie, but welcome to the boards. Favorite suspect is Joseph Barnett.

                              And books I recommend are:

                              Jack the Ripper: The Casebook

The Crimes, Detection and Death of Jack the Ripper

The Diary of Jack the Ripper (It's bull, but I recommend you read it so you know what some people are talking about when they mention it)

                              Will the Real Mary Kelly...?
                              Scarlett (2010) (Completed)

Witness a modernized retelling of London's most gruesome mutilation, the murder of Mary Jane Kelly at the hands of the notorious serial killer, Jack the Ripper.
